In-Album Photo Scanning: The cost for scanning photos in an album is exactly twice the cost for scanning loose photos. So simply double what the listed price is in the chart above for photos contained within photo albums.

For all non-standard photos such as newspapers and photos that need to be taken out of a frame we charge $40 per half-hour to extract or otherwise manipulate the images, as we take the utmost care in maintaining the integrity of your photos.

All Orders: Add $10 per DVD/CD. There is a $10 minimum for all orders. Also, if you are organizing your photos into groups of less than 20 photos, then there will be a $1 per custom folder/filename only for the groups that have less than 20 images.

If you are bringing in your own flash/hard drive with data on it to store these files, there is a $15 setup fee. There is no fee if your drive does not have data on it or if we’ve provided the drive for you.

Manual Color Correction For most manual color corrections (color balance, levels, brightness, contrasting, etc.) the cost is $1 per image. A technician will inspect and manually adjust each image, we don't rely on an automated computer program to judge what looks good to the human eye.

Geek Corner

Photo Scanning

Photo Scanning Process

The First step in the process is to clean the photos with compressed air which will remove dust and loose dirt. All images are scanned numerically by folder marking (ie: Vacation_001.jpg).

All photo scanning orders are scanned on the highest grade flatbed scanners. We will never scan your images with a document scanner as some companies will do. Document scanners are an extremely cheap method of scanning photos, and the quality will suffer dramatically.

Once the scanning has been completed, our image scanning technician will review each image to ensure proper rotation, and to make sure each image is correctly cropped.

Once the photos have been scanned and inspected, they will be transferred onto our 100-Year archival DVD, unless otherwise specified by the customer. These discs are regarded as the highest grade archival DVDs on the market.

Finally, the entire order, regardless of the total size, is backed up onto our internal company photo scanning servers. This is referred to as our Lifetime Data Backup plan. At any point a customer can call in and ask for individual images or their whole family history on photo to be burned onto a brand new DVD.
